Square-headed broochThis brooch was found at Mildenhall in Suffolk and dates from around the mid-sixth century. The object is made from gilt bronze which has a smooth shiny surface and is largely geometric in pattern. However, two biting beast heads are included, one on each side of the foot of the ornament. |
