What kind of exhibition does the Sainsbury Centre put on?

Our exhibition programme reflects the breadth of our permanent collections by including a wide range of contemporary and ancient world art – past exhibitions included contemporary art from Latin America, early twentieth-century photography, new textiles from Japan, architecture and design. Many of these exhibitions are initiated by the Sainsbury Centre, some are developed in partnership with other galleries and others are initiated by external curators or institutions. The Sainsbury Centre Programming Group meets quarterly to consider exhibition proposals. If you have a proposal you would like to discuss, please contact Amanda Geitner, head of collections and exhibitions.
