The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts at the University of East Anglia re-opened to the public on Sunday 21 May 2006, following a major refurbishment and building project, designed by Foster & Partners. Foster and Partners' iconic first public building, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts has undergone major changes to improve facilities and enhance the visitor experience. Changes include new entrances to the main building, additional exhibition areas, new visitor reception and shop spaces, a state-of-the-art education studio, a refurbished caf� and much improved access for visitors with disabilities, as well as a wonderful new internal public link between the main building and the Crescent Wing extension. |
