Platforma is an exciting new initiative for supporting, developing and mainstreaming refugee related arts. It exists to encourage, recognise and sustain the creative contribution made by artists and in the field of refugee related arts across the UK. The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts is the regional hub for the East of England. The project aims to be a catalyst for artists, groups and individuals developing or interested in arts and refugees projects in the east to share good practise, motivate and inspire new work and help support more partnerships through networking opportunities created. If you are interested in knowing more and would like to get involved take a look at the website, tap into the national network and spread the word! As the regional hub, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual arts will be the central point of contact for networking relevant organisations and artists in the east, contributing to the development and promotion of refugee related arts in the region, and feeding in to the project as a whole by contributing content and ideas for the Website and National events. For more information or to get involved, please contact regional coordinator Shenaz Kedar on [email protected] http://www.platforma.org.uk/users/sainsbury-centre-visual-arts Find out about the Sainsbury Centres work with refugees in Norwich |
