Aston Chair
Based in Pimlico, London, LINLEY was founded in 1985 by David Linley. The company has built up an international reputation as makers of high quality furniture and enjoys prominence as both a retail and a bespoke business, specialising in furniture, upholstery, lighting and accessories. David Linley studied at Parnham House, Dorset, under the direction of furniture designer John Makepeace.
For Sitting Pretty at the Sainsbury Centre, LINLEY upholstered the Aston Chair in white leather. Luxurious, comfortable and racy at the same time, the Aston Chair draws its inspiration from the classic lines of the great British Aston Martin sports car. Fulfilling both the functional and aesthetic requirements of furniture design, the chair is comfortably moulded like a car seat, whilst the fluid shape provides a sense of movement.
