Art and Biodiversity
The Art and Biodiversity Partnership brings together artists, scientists, conservation experts, students and the public to raise awareness of the current biodiversity crisis and of the broader links between art and biodiversity. The Sainsbury Centre works with Norfolk Biodiversity Partnership, Norfolk Wildlife Trust and the School of Biological Sciences at the University of East Anglia (UEA) to encourage action through the arts, stimulate discussions and contribute to interdisciplinary co-operation between the arts and sciences.
The Partnership has been awarded UEA Alumni funding for a forum to explore these issues in a series of discussions on the main threats to biodiversity. Each one will be accompanied by an art-science research and development programme. Results will be published and, at the end of the project, exhibited.
